Our best-seller. Ahead even of creatine and curcumin.
Before Proteus, I ran the research division at Ultimate Performance, working with tens of thousands of personal-training clients. Magnesium was the best-seller there too. People ordered it again and again. The clients under the most stress, or sleeping worst, were the ones who came back for more. On its own that is not proof. But it matches the science, so I take it seriously.
Foundational for everything you do.
Magnesium powers an estimated 300 to 600-plus reactions in your body, including the ones that build and use ATP, the fuel for all your body and brain's energy.
Builds and uses ATP
ATP is the fuel your body and brain run on, and magnesium sits in the reactions that make and spend it. Run low and everything runs a little short.
Helps your body use D3
The reactions that switch on vitamin D need magnesium. Low on it, and you will not get the full benefit from the D3 you take. Magnesium doesn't replace vitamin D. It helps your body use it.
Steadier under load
Healthy magnesium levels change how you handle stress for the better. And stress burns through it faster, so levels drop. Top it up daily, more when life is busy.
Calmer, deeper sleep
Magnesium supports the wind-down the body needs to reach deeper sleep, and eases the muscle tension that keeps you restless at night.
Not all magnesium is the same. Most of it barely gets in.
Lots of wild claims get made about the different types of magnesium, and they are often far too extreme, at both ends of the price range. Here is the honest version.
“The magnesium with the best properties, in the science and in real clients, is glycinate.”
One tub. Dose it to your own body.
Everyone needs a slightly different amount. More than half of adults don't get even the bare minimum, let alone an optimal level. And because most of your magnesium sits inside your cells, a normal blood test often misses a shortfall. The big tub lets you dose to your own needs.
A lighter daily amount if you're smaller or not very active. Enough to keep your level topped up.
The upper end of the everyday range if your workouts are hard or life is busy. Take them before bed.
Everyone's need differs. Start in the range, give it a month, and let how you sleep and recover tell you where to sit.
It builds. Give it a month.
Magnesium is not caffeine. You will not feel one dose the same way. Here is the honest arc most people follow.
The first night
Most people notice better sleep and relaxation on the very first night, taking 3 capsules before bed. Stay with it. The deeper pattern is still building.
It lands
Deeper sleep builds and mornings feel clearer. If you track HRV and recovery, this is where the numbers usually start to move.
Your new baseline
The calm and the recovery feel like your normal now. It's the point thousands of our clients decided to keep it for good.

“It's the one thing I take every single day, and even more when life is busy.”
Magnesium is the supplement that most people take incorrectly. Either the wrong form: cheap oxide or expensive threonate. Or the right form but not enough.
Taken properly, it is foundational. We use glycinate because it is well absorbed and effective. Made in our own ISO 22000 certified facility and third party tested.
Questions, answered.
Why glycinate and not oxide or L-threonate?
Oxide is the cheap default. It's been used as a laxative for thousands of years, and most of it passes straight through, so the big label number isn't what you get. L-threonate is the expensive one, sold on the idea it reaches your brain, but that comes from rat studies and the human results are small. Glycinate sits in the middle on price and ahead on what matters: well absorbed, gentle, and the form I've found works best in real clients.
How many capsules should I take?
Dose to your own body. One to two capsules a day suits a smaller or less active person; up to three if your workouts are hard or life is stressful. Most people take them before bed. Start in that range, give it a month, and let how you sleep and recover guide you.
When will I feel it?
Most people notice better sleep and relaxation on the very first night, after 3 capsules before bed. From there it builds: the clearer pattern shows up over two to three weeks, and if you track HRV and recovery on a wearable, that's where the numbers start to move.
Can I take it with my vitamin D3?
Yes, and it helps. The reactions that switch vitamin D into its active form need magnesium, so low magnesium is a common reason D3 levels don't respond. Magnesium doesn't replace your D3; it helps your body use it. Take both with food.
Loose stools: is it the magnesium?
Almost always you're stacking with another magnesium source without realising. Many multivitamins slip in magnesium oxide. Glycinate on its own is gentle. Drop the other source and it settles.
Is it safe long term?
Magnesium has one of the best long-term safety records in the category, and more than half of adults fall short of it by diet alone, so daily use is reasonable and well-evidenced. As always, talk to your doctor if you're on diuretics, certain antibiotics, or proton-pump inhibitors.
